A dynamic individual to lead our fund development team. An experienced and successful fundraising professional, with knowledge of the non-profit sector and a passion for helping kids.
A person who is excited about building sustainable funding for our Club and creating a multi-year, fundraising strategy, for our organization.
What will you be doing as the Director Fund Development:
- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Fund Development oversees and leads the development and implementation of BGCHH fundraising strategy. Creates, develops and delivers a fundraising program that includes major gifts, annual funds, corporate sponsorships, public and private grants, events and annual and planned giving.
- Supervises the Fundraising / Communications Coordinator and directs the daily activities of the fundraising, advancement team.
- Creates and delivers a phased, multiyear strategy and implements an individual giving program through direct mail, online donations, monthly giving, thirdparty, and individual major gifts.
- Provides strategic and operational direction to fundraising planning, identification of potential sources for external funding (e.g. government, foundations, corporations).
- Leads donation campaigns throughout the year. Develops and implements a corporate giving program and Stewardship / Fundraising plan.
- Develops and implements a donor recognition and cultivation program.
- Manages and fosters a relationship with donors and implements a process with key donors.
What skills and experience you have:
- Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles and Fundraising experience;
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity;
- Understanding of advanced fund development, planning and regulatory issues;
- Post secondary education in areas such as Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field, with at least three years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience in a not for profit organization;
- Strong marketing and public relations experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies;
- Financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and resource development;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills;
- Current First Aid /CPR Certificate level C and must present an acceptable background/police Vulnerable Sector check
