Overview:
Lafarge has an immediate opening for an experienced Labourer who will join our Fort McMurray RMX group.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and not limited to:
- Perform general construction labor to include plant cleanup and moving of materials by hand.
- Operating motorized equipment including power tools, loaders, telehandlers
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
- Perform general plant maintenance ie. Greasing and inspecting plant.
- Work could but could be exposed to cold and heat, noise and dust.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
- Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
- Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Experience:
- Preference also given to those willing to learn and work in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Safety oriented
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including weekends
- Able to work unsupervised
- Able to work well with others
- Good communication skills
