    Description

    The Opportunity

    Responsible for offering top-notch work, consistent service, and technical expertise to clients. Handles all tasks related to testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and refurbishing heavy equipment, transmissions, gasoline, and diesel engines, and engine components mostly on-site or roadside.

    The Role

    • Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for service needs.
    • Communicate with equipment owners for service and repair authorizations as needed.
    • Service and repair equipment on-site and in the shop for customers.
    • Refurbish and rebuild components as necessary for equipment, engine, and hydraulic repairs.
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients.
    • Inform Branch Supervisor/Manager about equipment servicing requirements.
    • Communicate completed work and update service documentation.
    • Maintain service records and fill out warranty information.
    • Complete work orders and participate in manufacturer and in-house service training.
    • Participate in Health & Safety Training and comply with the program.
    • Perform daily tasks in a manner that promotes a safe workplace.
    • Work with online manufacturer support and conduct housekeeping duties.
    • Maintain a professional image for the company consistently.
    • Meet Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessment standards where necessary.
    • Test and verify electrical component operations.

    The Candidate

    • Education: Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal, or enrollment in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program.
    • Work Experience: 2-3 years
    • Knowledge: Possess proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with customers; exceptional customer service; mechanical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
