Based at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy (LDFP), the Discovery Pharmacy combines our research, education and innovation excellence to model and evaluate cutting-edge health service delivery.
As part of the University of Toronto's interdisciplinary health care education and research ecosystem, Discovery Pharmacy will provide health care programs for the U of T community.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Discovery Pharmacy & Director, Strategic Initiatives, and working alongside the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, the Program Development Specialist, has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of Discovery pharmacy's Education Program and Clinical Pharmacy Services Development that are aligned with Discovery's mission both on a day-to-day operational level and also at a strategic level.
The incumbent will collaborate with members of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy with the mindset to operationalize the twin mission of the Discovery Pharmacy to be a "living laboratory" and a training hub, preparing our students to thrive in a re-imagined health-care system.
Qualifications Required:
I
EDUCATION:
Masters degree in Education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required. Licensed to practice in Ontario and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Part A.
II
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 (five) years' experience in education program planning and evaluation in the health professions, with a focus on education program development and business management of self-funded initiatives.

SKILLS:
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy Computer system
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Strong facilitation and/or negotiation skills
- Strong critical appraisal skills will need to have the ability to distill lots of inputs/information into tangible/ actionable tasks (that will meet DRx goals)

Demonstrated ability to prioritize a consistent and varied workload.

This is a 12 (twelve) month term position.
