We are currently seeking a Service Desk Technician - AUX to join our team in Burnaby, Victoria, Kelowna or Prince George, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

Purpose of Position:
The Service Desk Agent provides on-site and remote information systems technology assistance and resolution of routine and non-routine problems.

Accountabilities

Uses a systematic problemsolving process to diagnose problems and resolve
Provides technical advice and guidance to users in the operation of software and hardware, as well as operating and network systems
Logs call to record details in order to provide problem determination, trend analysis, escalation, and timely resolution
Consistently produces highquality incident and call tickets
Assigns appropriately to other support groups incidents that cannot be resolved at the service desk
Authors and review technical documentation
Keeps Manager informed of highpriority issues and problems
The successful applicant must reside within reasonable commuting distance from the Burnaby office location.
This is an Auxiliary position with membership in the BCGE Union.

Qualifications

1year Troubleshooting and resolving PC hardware and software issues, including Microsoft Windows Operating System issues.
1year Troubleshooting and remotely resolving problems in a networked office environment, including a range of technology such as printers, computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.

The position pays 33.83/HR
