    Binnie is looking for a Design Engineer to join our Burnaby Infrastructure Division, which delivers infrastructure planning, design and construction services for water, storm, sanitary, streets and transportation, and water resources assignments.

    This is a full-time position in our Burnaby office, located near Highway 1 and the Kensington Avenue Interchange near scenic Deer Lake.

    You will be working with our friendly and supportive team of experienced Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers on a wide range of capital municipal projects.

    Preparing civil engineering design work, from the conceptual level through to detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD / Civil3D
    Preparing and reviewing design calculations in accordance with current standards
    Maintaining design files with necessary calculations and documentation
    Preparing design reports, letters and technical memorandums
    Performing on-site inspection duties
    Supporting Project Managers with the delivery of assignments
    Undertaking quality control procedures and monitoring design standards on completed work
    Directing staff involved with the design process
    4-8 years of design experience in a civil consulting engineering environment
    ~ Completed Degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Registration as a P.Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle preferred
    ~ Strong design, communication and time management skills and ability to work concurrently on several different projects
    ~ Excellent attention to detail to consistently produce accurate, high quality work
    ~ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractors
