People
- Select, train and onboard Dispatcher and Load Planners.
- Establish employee schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and service requirements.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations, establishing goals and resolving performance issues.
- Assist and coach Dispatchers in the management of driver performance and relationships.
- Ensure a positive team environment between customers, Driver and Dispatcher.
- Communicate and provide constructive feedback as required.
Financial
- Accountable for the financial performance of the business dispatched by their team.
- Ensure achievement of key performance indicators (ie: Revenue mile%, RCR, cost per mile).
- Identify opportunities for increased profitability.
- Support the Area Manager in the development of the budget.
Customers
- In conjunction with the AreaManager, participate in weekly service and safety reviews.
- Primary escalation point for service and operation performance issues.
- In conjunction with Service Delivery team, establish communication protocols with customers.
- Order entry, status reporting, exception management, notifications.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum three to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Minimum two years management experience.
- Bilingual French/English required.
- Sound knowledge for transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and managerial skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
