Job Description:

We are looking for a
Team Leader to join our Distribution Compensation department, in Advisory Network, to assist with leading the Maintenance team, situated in three locations across Canada (Toronto, London & Winnipeg).

As Team Leader, Distribution Compensation, you will lead a diverse team responsible for supporting the workflow of the production teams who support the Contracting and Compensation needs of advisors, firms and MGAs in Advisory Network and Group Customer.

While supporting the team with training, reviewing processes and assisting with career development, the following skills will be essential part of your role:
relationship management, strong communication skills, process oriented, ability to prioritize and resolve issues / escalations.

What you will do

Provide direction and leadership to a team who are located across Canada
Monitor, assign, and manage work within the team
Coach, mentor and develop the team
Provide manager with staff career development, performance assessment, succession planning, and team morale
Oversee training, monitor progress, and adjust as needed
Identify and support implementation of process improvements within team operating model
Conduct escalations and complicated case investigations
Build and maintain relationships with multiple internal teams and our advisor network
Ensure audit controls and focus on quality results
Present and explain audit results to senior leaders
Occasional travel to locations of direct reports to provide support and maintain relationship with onsite management teams

What you will bring

Postsecondary Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 13 years' experience in a leadership role
Excellent oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience coaching and developing staff; supervisory experience will be an asset
Welldeveloped organizational and time management skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities
Strong analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Experience in auditing the work of others will be an asset
Demonstrated process improvement skills
