    Description

    Toromont Power is looking for a Project Manager – Rental, Used and Pumps to join our team The Project Manager – Used and Pumps is responsible for the successful execution of Used inventory acquisitions (intake into iMACS+ inventory, inspections, testing and repairs), Used equipment sales (in iMACS+), Pump Sales (in IMACS+), complex pump rental projects management, and/or complex generator and/or HVAC rental projects.

    In a typical day, YOU will:

    • Project manage used equipment purchases (iMACS, coordinate for payment, freight, inspections through shop or field service, and post on )
    • Project manage used equipment sales (iMACS, invoicing, production work, freight)
    • Project manage new pump sales (coordinate freight from supplier to customer, project manage work in the production shop as required (PDI, batteries, etc.).
    • Project manage larger, more complex pumping rental jobs (e.g. bypass jobs).
    • Assist with managing HPDE pipe stock in Innisfil (organizing and inventory after each return, improve process to fulfill customer orders)
    • Communicate with the customers and other internal and external stakeholders proactively throughout the life of the project. Establish project plans and schedules, and follow-up on action items regularly and until complete
    • Recommend process improvements, participate in their development and implementation in your day-to-day activities
    • Actively participate in promoting safety in the workplace, reporting hazards and near-misses, and making safety improvement recommendations on an on-going basis.

    Must-haves for this role:

    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, from technicians, to engineers, to senior executives
    • Ability to develop, understand and implement execution plans and objectives
    • An understanding of company policies and objectives and the ability to effectively operate and succeed within those guidelines
    • Ability to analyze situations and make tough, timely decisions
    • Ability to operate and succeed with little or no supervision
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science, or its equivalent
    • Mature knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil and industrial engineering fields
    • 5-10 years of related industry and/or project management experience
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is an asset
    • Understanding of Toromont operating policies and procedures is beneficial
