In House Legal Counsel - Commercial Leases
Advises on legal and business issues/strategies in various areas including leases (e.g. development and property management), franchising, and operations.

Prepares, reviews, negotiates, and executes high volumes of legal agreements including agreements of purchase and sale, leases, lease renewals and extensions and franchising documents (e.g. license/franchise agreements, etc.) with a strong attention to detail and a view to managing risk while maximizing benefits to the business.

Review, interpret, input and maintain all detailed lease information in the database and ensure accuracy of data.

Negotiate with Landlord's to reduce CAM.

Review tax bill for errors (penalties, interest) and resolve issues.

Prepare and review year-end reconciliation on all properties (Landlord/tenants/Sub-tenants), prepare adjustments where apportioned.

Ensure the collection of Landlord-Tenant inducements.

Maintain master list of all Leases, noting terms, renewals, etc.

Assist with acquisition, sales, development, and financing of properties.

Review, negotiate and revise operational contracts.

Keeps abreast of pending legislation or regulatory rules impacting the business and communicates as necessary.

Provide accurate and timely legal advice.

Other duties assigned as required.

Pay:
$71,589.55-$139,876.58 per year
