Description
We seek a motivated Corporate Legal Assistant eager to grow professionally, providing vital support to our team of Corporate Tax Lawyers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Key Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as initiating and organizing client files, closing files for storage, managing lawyers' schedules, arranging appointments, web meetings, and conference calls, as well as issuing reminders.
- Draft correspondence, legal documents, and compile materials in both digital and hard copy formats.
- Prepare engagement letters.
- Compile closing document sets.
- Oversee electronic organization of all correspondence within our document management system.
- Generate and send monthly client invoices, following up on outstanding accounts.
- Handle docket postings.
- Conduct photocopying and scanning tasks.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of a Legal Assistant Program.
- 25 years of experience as a legal assistant in a corporate law setting.
- Tax/Corporate law experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DocuSign, document management platforms, MinuteBox, and familiarity with Aderant accounting software is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and effective time management abilities.
- Selfassured and reliable, with a proactive approach to work, capable of functioning both independently and within a teamoriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
Salary:
Up to $65,000.00 per year
