We're looking for a new team member with exceptional critical thinking skills who takes pride in their work In this role, you will continually seek greater knowledge about the systems, processes, and reporting practices in order to apply a broader business and stewardship view to key deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

Five years of relevant oil and gas experience
A university degree preferably in business, finance or accounting or a technical diploma
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel
Working knowledge of database software (SAP preferred, but not required)
A solid understanding of financial reporting and disclosure requirements, settlements processes and 30/60/90 day cash forecast to Treasury
Demonstrated experience managing unresolved accounts receivable and accounts payable items, stewardship, documentation and filing of accounting records and government reports

Responsibilities:

Accurate settling of counterparty hydrocarbon position and paying valid transportation, storage and marketing costs for multiple counterparties
Validate volumes, verify pricing, resolve disputes and discrepancies, send out receivable invoices and make payments
Verify shipper statements and reconcile volumes monthly
Ensure cash is cleared correctly and follow up with counterparties on outstanding items
Support our settlements team in finalizing development and then ultimate stabilization of our SAP processes

Location and other Key Details:

This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
