- Legal Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
- answering phones, transferring calls and taking messages;
- scheduling appointments and managing lawyers' calendars
- greeting clients, service providers and other visitors to our office
- providing general information to potential clients, conducting intake interviews with potential clients and verifying client identification
- using legal software to generate invoices, bill clients and process payments
- paying bills and enter payments in to legal accounting software
- opening and closing files
- managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- maintaining an inventory of supplies and order supplies as needed
- filing, printing, scanning and copying documents
- arranging for couriers and process servers
- maintaining a schedule of administrative compliance obligations
- assisting with organizing meetings, documents and filings

Legal Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Morgan and Phillips LLP is a small law firm located in Milton, Ontario. We practice only family and estate law and mediation. We are seeking a highly organized, detailed-oriented legal receptionist/administrative assistant for a full time, permanent and in person position. We are looking for someone with at least two years' experience in a law office in a similar role, who has familiarity with legal accounting software, and a multi-line phone system. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our ideal candidate is professional and friendly, enjoys learning new skills, and balancing many different tasks. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our firm by providing an excellent customer experience for our clients and administrative and clerical support to our lawyers and clerks. They will have a good working knowledge of front desk operations, clerical work, phone systems, legal accounting software.
Preference will be given to applicants with family and/or estate law office experience, experience with Cosmolex and Divorcemate software.
This position is in office from 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, no weekends. On site parking is available. Salary is based on experience in the range of $45,000 to $55,000 per year.
