    Description

    We are a commercial litigation boutique currently in search of a highly skilled and experienced litigation lawyer to join our team.

    Our ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years experience in corporate/commercial litigation. In this dynamic role, you'll be immersed in a fast-paced environment, tackling intricate and engaging matters. Strong analytical and drafting skills, along with the ability to independently manage cases and resolve challenges, are essential.

    A collaborative attitude, superior work ethic, keen attention to detail, and adept relationship-building skills are the pillars for success in this role.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Represent clients in civil litigation matters across various court levels, including the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
    • Perform comprehensive legal research, review, and analyze legal documents.
    • Oversee and manage all stages of litigation, from inception through trial preparation and representation.
    • Effectively communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
    • Engage in and oversee ongoing litigation, motions, arbitrations, mediations, and discovery proceedings.
    • Offer support on legal matters spanning varying degrees of complexity.
    • Provide general assistance to the legal team as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a licensed Ontario Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years corporate/commercial litigation experience.
    • Possess an in-depth understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
    • Demonstrated excellence in writing, research, and advocacy skills.
    • Ability to excel in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, effectively prioritizing client matters while adapting to quick changes while remaining diligent.
    • Familiarity with asset freezing injunctions is an asset.
