    Description

    We are a commercial litigation boutique currently in search of a highly skilled and experienced litigation lawyer to join our team. Our ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years experience in corporate/commercial litigation. In this dynamic role, you'll be immersed in a fast-paced environment, tackling intricate and engaging matters. Strong analytical and drafting skills, along with the ability to independently manage cases and resolve challenges, are essential. A collaborative attitude, superior work ethic, keen attention to detail, and adept relationship-building skills are the pillars for success in this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Represent clients in civil litigation matters across various court levels, including the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

    2. Perform comprehensive legal research, review, and analyze legal documents.

    3. Oversee and manage all stages of litigation, from inception through trial preparation and representation.

    4. Effectively communicate with clients and opposing counsel.

    5. Engage in and oversee ongoing litigation, motions, arbitrations, mediations, and discovery proceedings.

    6. Offer support on legal matters spanning varying degrees of complexity.

    7. Provide general assistance to the legal team as needed.

    Qualifications:

    1. Must be a licensed Ontario Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years corporate/commercial litigation experience.

    2. Possess an in-depth understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure.

    3. Demonstrated excellence in writing, research, and advocacy skills.

    4. Ability to excel in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, effectively prioritizing client matters while adapting to quick changes while remaining diligent.

    5. Familiarity with asset freezing injunctions is an asset.
