About Practice Ready Ontario (PRO)


Funded by the Government of Ontario, Touchstone Institute works closely with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Medical Council of Canada, and others while administering the PRO program.

PRO is a workplace assessment program that aims to add internationally trained family physicians or general practitioners who have completed post-graduate training and have an established track record of work in another country to practice in rural communities in Ontario.


Summer Student Role:


Touchstone Institute is seeking a motivated student to join our team as a Summer Student directly supporting the PRO program.

As a hybrid employer, the Summer Student will work virtually three days per week and be expected to work each Tuesday and Wednesday from our downtown Toronto office located at 145 Wellington Street West (6th floor).

Reporting to the PRO Managers, the Summer Student will perform a range of administrative responsibilities including the following:

  • Track payments including invoices and payroll, maintaining accurate records and adhering to payroll deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain contract records, ensuring all agreements are properly documented and accessible
  • Assist with managing the Clinical Field Assessment dashboards and forms, contributing to a smooth assessment process.
  • Provide support to staff during vacation periods, ensuring continuity of operations and assisting with various tasks.
  • Handle a variety of general administrative tasks, maintaining a wellorganized and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:


  • Enrolled in a postsecondary program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet navigation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness

Contract Term:
May to August
