The Opportunity


Columbia College is looking for
Sessional
Psychology Instructors to teach
the following courses in our University Transfer Program on campus.

- **PSYC 281, Introduction to Biological Psychology, section (8)*
  • Monday and Thursday from 8:00 to 9:5 **PSYC 218, Introduction to Data Analysis in the Behavioural Sciences, section (9)*
  • Tuesday and Friday from 8:00 to 9:5 **PSYC 240, Social Psychology, section (N15)*
  • Tuesday and Friday from 13:45 to 15:40.
- **PSYC 210, Introductory Child Psychology, section (161)*
  • Wednesday and Saturday from 16:00 to 17:55.
These part-time sessional positions will commence in
May 2024 and end in
August 2024.

Key Responsibilities

The Instructor's primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.
-
Master's degree in Psychology (Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, or Behavioral Neuroscience).

  • Minimum of two years of experience teaching
    Psychology at another postsecondary institution.
  • Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset).
  • Demonstrated success in innovative or studentcentered teaching techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in teaching a diverse student body.
Compensation

We offer an attractive compensation
:
$8,809.84
per course for a Master's degree holder and
$9,833.12 per course for a Ph.
D. holder.
