    Description

    One of our automotive clients in Midland, ON is looking for an Electrician for their facility.

    Shift - Days/Afternoon/Night

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive instructions regarding priority needs and requirements.
    • Design, fabricate, install, program, and test new and modified equipment.
    • Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot equipment and facility issues.
    • Perform repairs efficiently and promptly as needed.
    • Assess the job requirements, including necessary tools and materials.
    • Estimate the time needed for each job.
    • Acquire the required equipment and tools from the toolcrib, toolroom, or special orders.
    • Read, interpret, and modify electrical wiring diagrams as necessary.
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical control problems.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance as outlined in the company's program.
    • Operate forklifts and high lifts as needed.
    • Use various meters, computers, scopes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, lathes, and welders to complete tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • Certified Electrician 442A.
    • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and modifying detailed machine blueprints.
    • Working knowledge of PLC programming, especially with Allen Bradley, Omron, and Texas Instruments controllers, is a significant asset.
