Job Summary:


We are currently seeking an Intermediate Edge Computing and Operation (ECO) Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team.

In this role, the specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the area of edge computing, ensuring optimal performance, resolving complex issues, overseeing the ECO IT infrastructure, and providing support for various systems used by the institution.


Responsibilities:


Operation

  • Provide technical support for edge computing infrastructure and operations.
  • Identify, analyze, and respond to system alerts and irregularities.
  • Recommend operational improvements and participate in the implementation of changes, tools, and maintenance routines.

Technical Support

  • Support and maintain Video Management Software (VMS) and Access Control systems, ensuring regular updates and configurations.
  • Implement and provide support for Software Delivery Solutions
  • Implement and support Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of implementing, integrating, and maintaining support systems.
  • Conduct regular system audits, updates, and patch installations.

Tracking, Researching, and Ongoing Improvements

  • Prepare and present reports on system performance and incident response for management evaluation.
  • Collaborate on backup and recovery procedures with backup administrators.
  • Document system setups, modifications, and processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in edge computing and operation.

Qualifications:


Education

  • Minimum three (3) year Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies.

Experience

  • Proficiency in using various monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Security VMS solutions, Access Control systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and their ecosystems.
  • Experience with OneCard Solutions.

Skills

  • Proficiency in managing web services across both UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Knowledgeable in network protocols, including TCP/IP and SNMP.
  • Knowledge and experience with software or systems that automate various tasks or processes.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Critical thinking with the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and problemsolve.
  • Clear communication skills with concise details to transfer information effectively.

A skills assessment test will be administered during the recruitment process.


A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered as equivalent to the above requirements in the event that there are no internal applicants that meet the qualifications as posted.

Equivalency will be assessed by the talent acquisition team.
