JouJou Hair Studio is expanding and requires a Social Media/Content Creator who is interested in Marketing, Public Relations and Social Media.

An individual who will take the brand to that next level. You will be contributing to the expansion and development of our already successful business.

As our go-to person for social media, you will assist in development and implementation of a corporate social media strategy, continuing to build relationships with our followers through existing and new channels, help organize promotional graphics, videos and photos.

The role of the Social Media Manager; is to assist with all areas of salon marketing as well as assist in creating content for our social media and marketing efforts.

(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc. Tasks are extremely varied and depend on the particulars of the Salon project at hand.

The Social Media Manager may be called upon to Create/edit videos for Social Media Platforms, distribute newsletters, document creation and/or administrative tasks and troubleshoot as needed.

The Social Media Manager is a part time position; you must be prepared for varied schedules. Scheduling is determined by the company owner, and/or based on specific salon needs.

The Social Media Manager can expect to work a minimum of 10 hours a week, with possible overtime throughout peak seasons.

• Strong writing skills
• Content Creator
• Strong understanding of all social media platforms
• Strong understanding of Word Press and eCommerce knowledge
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Creative thinking skills
• Added bonus if you have Graphic Design, Google Analytics, and/or SEO knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Microsoft Office.
• High level of proficiency in written English
• Some photography skills would be an asset.
• Some handson experience with social media marketing and content (e.g. WordPress or other CMS, SEO)
• If you have (or are working towards) a degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field is a bonus; but we're more interested in the practical skills that you have and your willingness to learn

Duties include:

• Identify key events for JouJou Hair Studio to sponsor
• Assist in the planning and execution of company marketing
• Prepare promotional material
• Attend events with the JouJou Team
• Ensure events are covered on JouJou Hair Studio social media
• Assist in managing the day to day Social Media platforms, including Instagram, FB, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn, etc.
• Brainstorming social media campaigns
• Research opportunities contacts and events
• Assist in other areas of marketing and communications as requested
• Other duties as assigned
• Daily engagement with people who like, comment, share, and mentions on JouJou Hair accounts. Utilizing Keyword tools for posts.
• Generate Hair Care printable + other downloadable freebies for blog posts and social media channels to encourage more engagement, further establishes brand.
• Social Media Audit
• Review ALL Social Media Accounts
• Track Analytics
• Identify problem areas.
• Plan posts and engagement based on analytics
• Understand trends across networks, and adjust depending.
• Perform this Social Media Audit every month and adjust depending
• Frequency of Posts minimum of once a day; but can change without notice.

Purposed Weekly Social Media Schedule:

• Salon blog once a month. Send audience to our blog "JouJou's Mane News". (located on our website) JouJou Website - Blog "JouJou's Mane News"
• Social Media Manager is responsible for creating blog content for the website. ALL content has to be confirmed with Director before posting. post at least 1x a month. Instagrammake feed visually appealing & ALL holidays addressed. Blog images (articles, food, Sunday Photo, DIY, Image Quotes) & Hair tips Twitter
