Position Summary:

The Facilities Manager is responsible to manage and oversee all warehouse employees and daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity.

The Facilities Manager will coordinate logístical processes, ensure the quality of goods, and prepare relevant documentation.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities
Evaluate and report on warehouse productivity
Determine staffing levels and assign workload
Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
Manage inventory levels; check orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy
Maintain records, report relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation
Perform a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds
Ensure the security of the stock and the warehouse
Communicate job expectations and coach employees
Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse workers
Comply with procedures, rules and applicable regulations
Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with healthy and safety regulations
This position is not limited to the above and can be modified and expanded as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
Time management and ability to delegate
Problem solving skills
Computer proficiency/knowledge in Microsoft Office and data entry software
Customer service mentality to ensure a positive customer experience
Ability to operate warehouse equipment
Demonstrated knowledge in safety regulations and commitment to safety

Working Conditions:

Work will take place in warehouse/distribution centres

May have exposure to frigid temperatures when handling shipments/products that require cold storage

Work irregular and extended hours

Physical Requirements:

Physical strength is required to assist workers with who work with heavy materials

Workers may lift and move objects between 10 and 50 pounds. In some cases, may be expected to lift heavier weight

Manager will spend time on the move; they are required to stand, walk, bend and kneel. They may be expected to climb and balance. Needs good vision and hearing
