As a
Mechanical Estimator working in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge.

Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - you will work closely with our proposals team and various client groups to secure bids and ensure project success.

What YOU Will Do

Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements and scope.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project estimates.
Research and gather data on materials, labor, and equipment costs to ensure accurate estimates.
Prepare and present estimate reports, including breakdowns of costs and assumptions, to internal teams and clients
Assist in value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and regulations to inform estimating practices and strategies.

What YOU Will Bring

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and estimates.
Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating processes.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards related to mechanical systems.

Bonus if you also:

Previous experience working with estimating software.
Fluently bilingual in French and English both written and verbal.
