    Quality Control Maintenance/Customer Experience Inspector


    Company Summary:

    Cad Railway has other facilities in Calgary, Alberta (under Caltrax banner) and has been selected by the ONxpress Transportation Partners association to provide all legacy fleet maintenance services for the Metrolinx rail fleet of approximately 1000 bi-level coaches and 90 locomotives.

    Cad Railway's delivery team will operate and maintain Metrolinx's rail maintenance facilities in Etobicoke and Whitby, as well as in multiple overnight along with mid-day light servicing facilities located across the Metrolinx train service area.


    Summary of the role:

    The Quality Control Maintenance/Customer Experience Inspector will be responsible for the quality monitoring, inspecting, and testing of operational standards for the Metrolinx's Legacy Fleet Maintenance operations.

    This individual will collaborate with the management team, customers, suppliers, partners and involved stakeholders.

    Reporting to the Quality Control Maintenance/Customer Experience Supervisor, will be responsible for ensuring compliance with processes, products and system specifications as defined by the Quality Management System.


    Core Accountabilities:
    for ensuring processes, products, parts, materials, and systems meet all quality requirements set by the customer and business. Identify, record, and report all quality issues, potential root causes. Recommend improvement measures to the business to ensure quality standards are met
    the ability to comprehend content of documentation and instructions and measure quality against such documents
    and document records of testing, audits and inspections ensuring accuracy and completeness
    the use of the Quality Management System and other quality control measures
    inspections, audits and testing as required by the business
    statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of processes, products, parts, and materials
    all continuous improvement activities relating to quality and the ISO9001 certification.
    Understand overall customer satisfaction and support initiatives to ensure a positive experience. Work with representatives from the customer Quality team as required
    quality awareness on quality activities planned for the project and support required quality training
    to use measuring equipment as required during the inspection process
    Ability to develop KPI's and present data
    senior management relating any potential complications
    with the team to prepare and create recurrent reports that are requested by management.
    with the company's applicable policies and procedures.


    Qualifications:
    ~ to build strong rapport with the team and unionized maintenance personnel
    ~– 5 years experience in Quality Control Inspection and/or a related field.
    ~ locomotive and passenger coach experience and knowledge is an asset
    ~ using quality and problem-solving tools.
    ~ performing audits
    ~ of accomplishing business strategies
    ~ or degree relating to the field of expertise


    Nice to have:
    with other industries such as Aerospace
    working in the rail industry with a comprehensive knowledge of rail equipment
    Auditor training
