    The Junior Pension Software Testing Analyst is integral to the success of the Technology & IT Services Management team, and to CAAT's guiding mission and growth strategy.

    Reporting to the Manager, Member Portal, the Junior Pension Testing Analyst will be joining a team of Senior Pension Testing Analyst with the pension core product suite. The role will ensure high-quality software delivery by planning, implementing and automating quality assurance testing.

    We are looking for someone with:

    • An undergraduate degree with a computer major or a technical diploma in computer science or related field
    • One (1) year in a technical role writing test automation scripts supporting delivery of enterprise software
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, PL SQL, C#, Python

    The successful candidate will demonstrate:

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Strong collaboration skills, work effectively in teams, demonstrate adaptability, and show a willingness to learn
    • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
    • Good understanding of Azure DevOps, exposure to automation tool such as Jenkins
    • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles
    • Ability to write basic scripts for automation tasks (e.g., Python scripts)
    • Awareness of configuration management tools like Ansible

    Once here you will:

    • Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases, working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders
    • Plan and implement testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, or performance tests) for new and existing functionality
    • Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process
    • Enhance and maintain the test automation framework (e.g. TestRail, Ranorex)
    • Understand and apply automated testing approaches such as model-based testing or record-and-replay
    • Research, recommend, and implement new testing technologies and practices, such as incorporating machine learning
    • Collaborate with other software testers, share information within a community of practice, and document, analyze, and recommend corrective actions based on test results
    • Define and champion quality and testing best practices among development teams
