PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Key accountabilities include recruitment process support, data management and communications.
- Posting of job positions on both internal and external career sites, including diversity partner and niche career boards.
- Assisting Talent Acquisition Advisors in booking travel, coordination of job fairs and outreach initiatives; ordering of CP branded materials to support recruitment activities and events.
- Organize, attend and participate in both internal and external career fairs.
- Create innovative and creative recruitment ads and print ads to attract a strong talent pipeline.
- Provide updates on CP social media account for recruitment purposes.
- Working closely with Health Services and outside service providers to ensure completion of required preemployment processes including background checks, preemployment medicals, and other processes relevant to the hiring process.
- Central inbox and folder management.
- Management and processing of vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Report on KPI's and generate monthly, quarterly and annual metrics.
- General human resources administration support to the Talent Acquisition Team.
- Performs other duties, as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post secondary diploma.
- 13 years related experience, preferably supporting a unionized workforce.
- Flexibility and adaptability to frequently changing priorities and deadlines.
- Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as a part of dispersed HR team.
- Ability to exhibit discretion in handling confidential / sensitive information.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
- Being organized is a must as is strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP or an equivalent HRIS system is an asset.
WHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:
- This is an hourly position for a 6 month term.

Management Conductor Program:
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CP.
You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
