Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a
Junior Document Control Specialist to work in our St. John's office, on large-scale brownfield offshore oil and gas projects. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Supporting engineering projects through the management of project documentation
- Ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and adhered to
- Communicating effectively with the appropriate engineering disciplines including providing ongoing updates on status of work
- Ensuring required filing and archiving of technical documents is done in a timely manner
- Storing, securing, revising, retrieving, distributing, and archiving electronic documents
- Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within Document Control in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
- Assist with processing technical documentation for the core projects
Skills / Qualifications:
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Diploma from a postsecondary institution
- Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarization with Document Management systems
