    Job Overview

    The Payroll Coordinator, reporting to the HR & Payroll Manager, is responsible for accurately processing payroll and benefits for designated communities.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Process bi-weekly payroll for assigned Spring Living communities
    • Maintain knowledge of unionized wage rates and entitlement progressions in compliance with Collective Bargaining agreements
    • Collaborate with site managers to review and capture payroll adjustments
    • Act as the primary point of contact for communities regarding payroll matters
    • Review all new hire, promotion, termination, and job assignment changes for accuracy
    • Verify payroll reports and ensure accuracy with time and attendance data
    • Cooperate with the payroll team to review all work accurately
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of payroll union reports, taxes, and government filings
    • Prepare Year-end audit requirements and meet deadlines
    • Reconcile payroll HRIS system with accounting records

    Qualifications

    • Support ad-hoc payroll and HR-related tasks as needed
    • Hold a post-secondary education in Business/Payroll/HR or equivalent experience
    • Preferably possess a Payroll Compliance designation
    • Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce or similar HRIS system is preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrate a thorough and methodical approach to processes
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Understand the importance of handling sensitive information
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills in various mediums
    • Ability to multitask in fast-paced, stressful situations
    • Display initiative, willingness to learn, and problem-solving skills
    • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting
    • Experience in senior living is considered an asset
