    This position can be based out of Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary or Montréal. McCarthy Tétrault employees benefit from a hybrid work environment.

    The Specialist, Legal Solutions collaborates with other members of the Innovation Team, subject matter experts, and firm users and clients to coordinate, delegate, manage, and deliver innovative solutions.

    As a Specialist, Legal Solutions, you will be:

  • Identifying and assessing new innovative and transformative technologies, ideas and processes that may help to address the needs of our lawyers and clients.
  • Assisting with the development, management and rollout of the firm's innovation tools and platforms including HighQ and document automation.
  • Coordinating with legal technology vendors with respect to their tools and platforms, including upgrades and enhancements to tools and platforms in use at the firm.
  • Providing training to lawyers and supporting them with existing and future innovative tools and processes.

    • As our ideal candidate, you will distinguish yourself by the following profile:

  • Demonstrated expertise with legal innovation tools and solutions. Experience with HighQ and document automation is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to influence and to lead peers and others.
  • "Tech-forward" and curious about how we can implement and improve on existing tools and processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships across the firm.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership of assigned projects and is able to work independently.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and demands simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to shift priorities and manage change with a positive outcome.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, take initiative and practice good judgment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the legal industry.
  • Strong technology skills.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • French proficiency is an asset.
