    Description
    Irving Tissue is a leading manufacturer of premium tissue products – including national brands and private label.

    We pride ourselves in our commitment to providing the best quality products and exceptional service to our consumers and customers.

    We have planted 1.1 billion trees since then, and have been recognized as a Carbon Neutral Forest Supply Chain. We also manufacture private label diapers and training pants for North American retailers.

    The Converting Manager will be based out of Toronto, Ontario (1551 Weston Road, M6M 4Y4) and is a key member of the Site Leadership team, responsible forcoordinating and leading the converting operations to ensure the achievement of department objectives for safety, product quality, productivity, cost to manufacture, customer (converting/export) service and employee engagement and morale.

    This is a permanent, full-time position.
    Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or equivalent.
    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills that provide ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple projects and priorities
    Experience in budgeting and strategy / business planning

    Lead the Converting teamby setting and managing expectations with the intent to achieve Key Performance Indicators(Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, People).

    As part of the site leadership team, contribute to the development of site strategic goals
    Work with site leadership team members to promote and support teamwork across the plant
    Ensure the team has established goals and development plans in place and reviewing these on the established basis.
    Participate, contribute, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to plant and converting area KPI's.
    Identify training and development opportunities within the team and department, create plan to close gaps, ensure transfer of knowledge
    A flexible medical, dental, and vision plan
