Consultant III, SCADA/EMS/ADMS

In this role, you will focus on providing technical leadership in system integration, maintenance, migration, and enhancement of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/Energy Management System (EMS) and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). Working closely with clients, you will identify their functional needs and determine necessary application modifications and developments. You will also take the lead on SCADA and other Operational Technologies (OT) system test programs and activities in collaboration with our clients. As a mentor to junior consultants, you will contribute to team growth and development. What You'll Do

Responsibilities for this role are both dynamic and multifaceted, spanning across Technical Studies and Consulting Services. Prepare to engage deeply in the domain of Energy Management Systems, where you'll provide invaluable support ranging from installations to upgrades and ongoing maintenance endeavors. Your expertise will extend to script development, database modeling, and meticulous system testing, all while collaborating closely with our esteemed clients and vendors to troubleshoot and enhance operations. Additionally, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage with our global network of colleagues, fostering efficient coordination and execution of projects. On the consulting front, you'll be instrumental in orchestrating project timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and contributing to the creation of compelling external content. Location of the Role: We'd love this position to be a hybrid role in our Burnaby, Canada office but we are open to candidates in most Canadian provinces. Remote options are available for the right candidate, as long as they're open to travel as needed.

We'd love you to have:

• Five (5)+ years of broad SCADA/EMS/ADMS experience, specifically IT/OT projects, ideally working on integration of replacement applications and services into legacy environments
• Bachelor's or master's in engineering or a related field (such as Computer Science) or, comparable professional experience and capability
• Experience executing end-to-end testing (FAT, SAT and UAT).
• Good knowledge and understanding of operational technologies and systems.
• Experience of SDLC and various testing processes and methodologies including risk assessment and management.
• Experience working with Test Tools (e.g. HPQC, Jirq) for testing and defect tracking.
• Advanced user of EMS/ADMS vendor systems (e.g. GE, Siemens, ABB, Schneider, AspenTech/OSI) and applications.
• Knowledge of EMS/ADMS modeling tools, display building tools, and domains.
• Excellent computer skills, including Virtualization, Windows servers, Windows desktops, and Linux
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations.
• Registered Professional Engineering status or willingness to obtain.

Special Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to travel, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for business development and consultancy work.
• Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily required to sit or stand at a workstation while operating computer, phone, and other office equipment. The employee is required to communicate: speak, write, type and hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is CAD $90,000 to $135,000.
