    Position Summary:

    Under the direction of the Director, Operational Analytics, this position is responsible leading and influencing a high-performing team for a rapidly growing company. We are looking for someone with a strong data analytics background who can partner with various teams analyzing gaming data to drive operational efficiency growth across all areas of the company. The Manager and the team will support all regions across Canada. This role will have a specific focus upon managing a varied team that supports corporate-wide analysis – largely in the non-gaming space. The Director and the team will support all regions across Canada.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the operations team to ensure cross-unit collaboration and to support the operation teams.
    • Participate heavily in the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes that involve planning, maintaining budgeting and forecasting tools.
    • Develop value add tools and assist in system and process improvement projects as needed.
    • Work with large quantities of data and master ability to analyze and audit results.
    • Create PowerPoint presentations and board book slides with operational statistics for senior leadership.
    • Provide reporting metrics for a multitude of processes and projects to regional teams and senior management.
    • Understand and master a multitude of systems and processes to provide support and training as needed.
    • Perform special ad hoc projects and analysis on a frequent basis.
    • Reviews business processes and systems for improvements in accuracy, efficacy, and efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with all data management policy and procedure including crown corporation partners.
    • Manage and provide mentorship to a team of analysts.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Qualification Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 to 6 years work experience in the field of BI and Analytics
    • Post-secondary degree in marketing, science, technology, engineering, math, economics/business, statistics or an equivalent field with a focus on business intelligence & analytics.
    • A strong work ethic, with an ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment to meet critical deadlines.
    • Exceptional analytical skills with a deep knowledge of and mastery of Excel and Power BI (experience with Looker is a plus.)
    • Ability to present data using visuals.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills due to interaction with personnel at all levels.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in written & verbal English in order to deliver analytical insights to stakeholder groups.
    • Knowledge of and background in computer programing and query language is an asset
    • Knowledge of statistical concepts in support of analysis and reporting.
    • Experience with writing SQL.
    • A curious analytical mind, strong attention to detail and quick learner, ability and willingness to work under a strictly regulated data management environment an asset.
    • Knowledge or experience in casino or hospitality industry is an asset
    • Experience managing and mentoring a team of analysts
