    Description

What makes this role important at Ipsos?

Our Senior Engagement Managers play a key role in leading our client engagements, guiding your team on research, setting the vision for deliverables and presenting brand strategies to clients. Typical engagements include developing brand strategies, segmenting customer audiences, understanding consumer journeys, envisioning future growth pathways, and guiding innovation strategy. As an Engagement Manager, you will get the unique opportunity to work on multiple projects at a time directly with clients; one day you could be naming a new car brand and the next, reimagining the candy bar of the future.

We are in the business of storytelling, and our work lies at the intersection of creativity and strategy; alongside our creative problem-solving approach to business questions, we ground ourselves in analytical facts and data to extract insights that deliver results. Our work transforms organizations, so your day to day will encompass all the necessary steps, big and small, to satisfy our clients. From Day 1, you will be encouraged to share your point of view and bring your ideas to life.

We value our team's ability to build relationships both internally within Ipsos and broadly with our clients. As part of our client-facing team, you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate directly with our Partners, Engagement Managers, and Consultants to ensure that our ideas inspire both our clients and the marketing community. Our team is made up of innovative thinkers who come from backgrounds as diverse as brand management, marketing, consulting, trend hunting, finance, market research, data science, and startups. This broad array of backgrounds ensures our project teams come together with creative ideas to guide our clients in bringing new brands, products and services to market.

We have seen double-digit growth for the past several years, and have expanded our global presence, opening and expanding offices in the US, London, Paris, Milan, Munich, Shanghai, Beijing, and more. This growth allows you unparalleled access, early in your career, to leading marketing thinkers, clients, and brands, while providing you with a fantastic opportunity to take on leadership challenges.

For a relentless, visionary, and centered thinker who thrives on feedback and challenge, this is a unique opportunity for both personal and professional growth.

The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of both left brain (analytical) and right-brain (creative) skills to bear on our client's problems: someone who is as comfortable working in Excel as they are binge watching the latest popular series and making a convincing case for why their favorite season is indeed the best . Our approach to solving problems requires that level of fluidity, comprehensiveness, confidence, and executive presence.

This might be the job for you if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree; MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years of professional experience: preferably in branding/marketing, management consulting, brand management, or market research
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, both vertically and laterally, and ability to bring clarity to team in ambiguous situations
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, with a solid understanding of market research
  • Ease and confidence with "thinking on your feet" – can effortlessly lead a workshop with a group of senior executives
  • Proven ability to develop new offers and capabilities to grow the Strategy3 business
  • Strong business acumen/critical thinking, with demonstrated competency in specific focus areas
  • Strong track record of leading proposals and business development
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Enormous personal impact, executive presence, and ability to instill trust in top leadership
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and advocate for junior team members while serving as a "culture add"- we're not looking for people who "fit our mold"; rather, we want to bring on team members who will mold our culture by pushing us to think in new ways
  • In addition to those qualifications, one of the key things we have in common is the ability to tie together disparate pieces of information (from social media, from census data, from keen observation) into a compelling story, and tell it in a way that is engaging and memorable.

If you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit for the opportunity to apply. We may consider a variety of backgrounds for a particular role and are also committed to considering candidates for available positions throughout our organization, not just the one you're applying to

    What's in it for you:

At Ipsos you'll experience opportunities for Career Development, an exceptional benefits package (including generous PTO, healthcare plans, wellness benefits), a flexible workplace policy, and a strong collaborative culture.
