Status:
Full-time Position


Hours of Work:
Full-time, 35 hours per week, which includes flexibility in work schedules, days, evenings and weekends.

Team Leaders covers other Residences/Programs during TL vacations/leaves and may be required to provide frontline coverage during FD d staffing shortages to ensure safety.


Job Summary:


  • This role requires a commitment to ensuring quality services are being delivered to the individuals.
  • They must also have the ability to work alongside those they supervise to support individuals in a direct service role, including individuals with complex service needs.
  • Travel to Proprietors residence is required for the Lifestyle Options Program in order to complete home visits ensuring they meet accreditation requirements.
  • They will facilitate the development, consultation, implementation, documentation, and ongoing revision of individualized service planning, balancing the wants and needs of the individual and their support networks.
  • Supervision, hiring and training of staff who provide direct support in personal care, skill development and community access, and ensuring paper and process compliance to meet Licensing and accreditation (CET) standards is required.
  • Supervisory responsibilities will include staff scheduling, advising on work methods, orientation and training, performance management, and assisting in staff selection. Dealing with individuals with complex needs, providing behavior support and tracking, including risk assessment, personcentered planning, and staff coverage.

Qualifications:


  • Diploma in Rehabilitation or related field. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience and one year experience working with people with disabilities, including some experience with individuals who have complex behaviour support needs.
  • Must be current in all mandatory training requirements.
  • Ability to work unsupervised. Be well organized and have demonstrated an ability to work effectively in a collaborative, teamoriented work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 is required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid Alberta Driver's license, $2 million liability insurance.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, and good judgement.
  • Must be able to provide us clear current criminal record check.
