Description

We are looking for a driven Logistics Coordinator - Ocean & Air with a "can-do" attitude to join our Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain Team.

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics and monitoring product via ocean, air and surface (import and export).

You will use your expertise to collaborate with the project management team to ensure product arrives on time to meet project schedule requirements.

This is an onsite position working at our head office in Ottawa.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Review Letter of Credit (LC) in conjunction with Finance, Supply Chain Manager, Project Managers to ensure all criteria can be met.
Prepare all documentation required for import/export including Commercial Invoice and Packing List.
Populate online insurance templates for ocean voyages.
Consolidate materials at subcontractors when applicable.
Schedule sea container truck/air loading at subcontractors in conjunction with the ERD/ Project Schedule.
Complete Customs/LC valuation as required.
Track/follow up on product delivery with Freight Forwarder/Service Providers to ensure ontime delivery.
Provide shipping updates to Project Managers as required.
Manage "load volumes" at Fabricators and advise Supply Chain Manager if issues arise.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

3+ years of logistics experience
Experience handling Ocean shipments is a must
Excellent MS Office Skills, especially using Excel
Knowledge of customs guidelines and procedures, import/export regulations including USMCA
Excellence communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Enhanced ability to multitask numerous projects concurrently
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Keen ability to learn and adapt to a variety of databases and tracking tools
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Selfmotivated, able to manage volume and tight deadlines
