GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Rehabilitation Partnership Specialist is responsible for program improvements, contract maintenance, and relationship management in Saskatchewan and SGI Canada.

The Specialist works collaboratively with the Director, Corporate Rehabilitation Services on strategies to support the Auto Fund and SGI CANADA.

The Specialist ensures information is shared consistently in all regions and assists in implementing best practices for rehabilitation services in all areas SGI does business.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Claims Partnership Performance Management, Monitoring, & Reporting- Assists with the development of partnerships to contribute to establishing consistent approaches to rehabilitation programs.- Analyzes rehabilitation information and data (procedures, outcomes, timelines, workflows) to evaluate and recommend areas for continuous improvement for SGI and SGI Canada customers.- Works with legal and business partners to compile contract language which sets the desired outcomes and expected service level deliverables.- Collaborates with Rehabilitation Services operations, Corporate Claims Product, and other stakeholders to understand gaps in rehabilitation programs and provides input into solutions for effective and consistent rehabilitation partnerships and programs.- Prepares decision and/or information items, SGI board items, and Ministerial briefing items and is occasionally required to attend meetings with the Minister.- Makes decisions for departmental operations e.g., guidelines to work with preferred rehab partners, practice standards, in alignment with strategic direction and priorities.- Monitors changes to ensure operations and program policies, procedures and guidelines are in compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.- Monitors and identifies regulatory changes in the industry as it relates to rehabilitation programs; collaborates with Director, Corporate Rehabilitation Services on next steps and communication plan for Injury Claims operations and other impacted stakeholders.


Relationship Management- Collaborates with SGI and SGI Canada partners on a regular basis to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships.- Collaborates with Corporate Claims Product to develop outcome measures for rehabilitation programs.- Collaborates with Corporate Claims teams and other areas of the organization (Legal, Injury Operations, Rehabilitation Services Operations) to support alignment with rehabilitation programs and services to SGI and SGI Canada injury claim customers.- Collaborates with internal teams, such as Legal, Procurement, Privacy, for development of contracts/master service agreements, request for suppliers' qualifications, request for proposals, etc.- Works closely with Data Office in informing and supporting SGI data policies and reporting standards.- Influences and negotiates with administration and analysts to establish team priorities and develop reporting and analysis.


Policy and Process Analysis and Implementation- Develops recommendations and designs solutions that continuously improve the rehabilitation/claims experience for our customers, employees, and partners through collaboration and innovative thinking.- Analyzes new and existing competitors and industry information to anticipate trends and set direction for future improvements and implementation of best practices.- Establishes and maintains an effective system of internal controls to support reliable financial reporting and compliance in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual agreements.- Assists with identifying risks associated with rehabilitation programs processes, e.g., overtreatment, practitioner qualifications, technology change.

Considers the potential impact on rehabilitation services and programs and facilitates the necessary changes.- Gathers information to support the implementation of governance in rehabilitation programs.- Research and studies partners and their services to identify new patterns and provide recommendations to prioritize policy changes.- Collaborates with Director, Corporate Rehabilitation Services and Corporate Partnerships on new rehabilitation practices and treatment which may impact service delivery.
