We are currently hiring for the position of:

COORDINATOR, INDUSTRY PROGRAMMING


The Coordinator, Industry Programming will primarily work within a small programming team on the logistics and delivery of the Sloan Science on Screen programme, including the Sloan Science and Technology Project Pitch event at the Industry Conference.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Shall include but not be limited to:

  • Working on the invitation process for the Sloan Science and Technology Project Pitch participants and guests, including materials collection and follow-up
  • Working on venue logistics for the Sloan Science and Technology Project Pitch
  • Working on web and materials audit for the Sloan Science on Screen programme, ensuring accuracy of all content for digital and physical material delivery, including sponsor and partner acknowledgements
  • Creating and maintaining detailed and comprehensive database (Artifax) records for the Sloan Science and Technology Project Pitch, as needed
  • Compiling and updating materials and itineraries for Sloan Science on Screen Mentors and Guests
  • Providing on-site support at the Sloan Science and Technology Project Pitch as needed, including greeting guests and participants
  • Supporting other Industry Programming initiatives where needed
  • Providing a detailed postmortem report

RATE OF PAY:

- $20/Hourly

WORK LOCATION:

Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5

  • Weekly in office requirements:
  • Minimum 2 days (November to May)
  • Minimum 3 days (June to October)
  • Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of experience in the Canadian or international film industries or event production Experience in film festivals is an asset Knowledge of Canadian and international film landscapes Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills Able to handle difficult situations and people with aplomb and grace Excellent communication skills Knowledge of other languages is an asset Experience with Artifax is an asset Adaptable to a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
