Job Title:
Contractor Kinesiologist - Occupational Rehabilitation 2 and ASTD Program


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contractor Kinesiologist to join our team and provide specialized support in the Occupational Rehabilitation 2 (OR2), Acute Soft Tissue Disorders (ASTD) programs and other services.

As a contractor, you will work on a project basis, collaborating with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from work-related injuries.

Your expertise in kinesiology and occupational rehabilitation will play a vital role in helping our clients regain physical function and return to work successfully.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical capabilities, functional limitations, and workrelated goals
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans and rehabilitation programs based on individual clients' needs, incorporating evidencebased practices and kinesiology principles.
  • Provide handson guidance and instruction to clients on proper body mechanics, ergonomics, and exercises to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical wellbeing.
  • Utilize modalities such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, joint mobilizations, and soft tissue techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, physicians, and psychologists, to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery and facilitate timely returntowork outcomes.
  • Educate clients on injury prevention strategies, workplace ergonomics, and selfmanagement techniques to minimize the risk of reinjury.
  • Provide clear and concise written reports detailing assessment findings, treatment progress, and recommendations for future care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Kinesiology or a related field.
  • Valid certification as a Kinesiologist from a recognized profesional association.
  • Availability to work 22.5 hours per week on week days
