- Performs elementary clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, stuffing and addressing envelopes, preparing files, etc.
- May be asked to perform basic tasks on a computer, including simple data entry.
- Performs basic duties in a library or bookstore or other similar environment, including shelving books, taking inventory, mending, cleaning and tidying displays.
- Carries out basic housekeeping tasks in classrooms or labs and related instructional areas or in office areas.
- Assists in the routine distribution of equipment, tools, supplies, educational materials, mail-outs, etc.
- May be asked to make telephone calls of a routine nature.
- May act as an usher or direct foot traffic at College functions.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Must be registered as a VCC student and have basic oral and written English proficiency.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
- Basic clerical ability.
