Summary
We are seeking for a Payroll Administrator who must have a strong attention to detail and technical skills, including proficiency with automated payroll processing services.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the preparation and processing of weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Administer payroll and time and attendance functions, including inputting new hires, updating employee status, managing wage adjustments, handling terminations, and submitting Records of Employment (ROE).
- Maintain accurate and current employee data in the Jonas system.
- Address and investigate inquiries and discrepancies related to payroll and time and attendance.
- Coordinate with HR Department when required.
- Address and resolve inquiries from employees and management regarding payroll matters.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience as a payroll administrator
- Experience process payroll for Union employees is an asset
- Strong organization and ability to multitask
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound judgement
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good communication skills
