Job Summary:

This position is responsible for creating, analyzing, and presenting key insights and recommendations that enable and support Tilray in managing business performance and maintaining oversight of various business metrics.

Through a suite of critical reports, the Sales Analyst will proactively share knowledge, trends, and recommendations to support the team and entire organization with the aim of increased profitability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Ultimately, the Sales Analyst plays an integral role in supporting our commercial sales team.


A Day in a life of.


As the Sales Analyst you will support the recreational business in conducting research and analysis that provide valuable data driven insights which ultimately assist in campaign targeting, promotional execution, KPI tracking, performance enhancement, and strategic alignment.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Develop a comprehensive suite of reports on business performance & insights.
  • Condense large data sets into clear and concise reports, observations, and recommendations.
  • Provide insights to key stakeholders to better inform strategic decision making.
  • Provide research and analytical support on assigned projects.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine analytics data requirements and implement solutions to provide actionable business insight.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in regional nuances, market dynamics, and changing regulations and environment.
  • Conduct industry related research, market, and trends analysis on the Recreational sales channel.
  • Continuous improvement streamline reports and processes to achieve maximum optimization, efficiency, and automation to enhance department performance and productivity.
  • Share best practices with the team and crossfunctionally, elevating the overall analytical capabilities of the entire organization.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills with the desire to learn and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and as part of a team within a fastpaced environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • Understand the fundamentals of economics (supply, demand, elasticity), accounting (COGs, margins, growth, price slope, breakeven)
  • A high degree of selfmotivation and discipline, strong work ethic and a learning mindset.
  • Knowledgeable about industry players, brands, and products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Experience in CPG, at a cannabis LP, or at a cannabis retailer is an asset.
