    About the role

    Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a Design Assurance Engineer III to join our Design Assurance team. This role collaborates closely with teams handling the introduction and life cycle of Medical Electrical Equipment/Capital Equipment to ensure compliance with design controls and adequate production and process controls.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure design control and risk management for next-generation capital equipment devices.
    • Utilize clinical knowledge/data to impact the testing and design of devices.
    • Implement and improve product risk management tools (e.g., Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree, FMEAs).
    • Infuse quality into all aspects of work by adhering to quality requirements.
    • Organize and prioritize daily tasks to meet set schedules.
    • Apply statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques to assess product acceptance and process capabilities.
    • Employ technical skills for identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
    • Demonstrate primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.
    • Perform other necessary duties.

    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Biomedical preferred).
    • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the Medical Device Industry.
    • Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC, IEC 62304 standards.
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies.
    • Experience in training per FDA regulations or ISO standards.
