Overview:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for daily payroll activities and managing regular payroll cycles for employee groups.


Responsibilities:


  • Providing support for weekly payrolls in Canada and US Companies as needed
  • Assist with payroll related projects as directed by the Payroll Manager
  • Enter new hire data, employee changes into both eCMS inhouse payroll system and ADP


  • Time entry

  • ECMS, and ADP
  • Review and send time verification reports to site supervision and management
  • Complete wage verifications and respond to employee related correspondence
  • Handle employee inquiries related to employees' hours, pay, and benefits
  • Track and enter hourly employee vacation payouts and vacation entitlement changes
  • Manage offcycle payment requests and approvals
  • Prepare & distribute payroll reports to Finance for job cost evaluation
  • Communicate payroll related messages to field staff for example statutory holiday timelines for time submission
  • Work with the Payroll Manager to improve accuracy and efficiency in payroll processes

Qualifications:

  • Experience with US payroll
  • 25 years of fullcycle payroll experience
  • Payroll designation or working towards
  • Related postSecondary education
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Attention to details and adherence to time sensitive deadlines
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
