Overview:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for daily payroll activities and managing regular payroll cycles for employee groups.
Responsibilities:
- Providing support for weekly payrolls in Canada and US Companies as needed
- Assist with payroll related projects as directed by the Payroll Manager
- Enter new hire data, employee changes into both eCMS inhouse payroll system and ADP
- Time entry
- ECMS, and ADP
- Review and send time verification reports to site supervision and management
- Complete wage verifications and respond to employee related correspondence
- Handle employee inquiries related to employees' hours, pay, and benefits
- Track and enter hourly employee vacation payouts and vacation entitlement changes
- Manage offcycle payment requests and approvals
- Prepare & distribute payroll reports to Finance for job cost evaluation
- Communicate payroll related messages to field staff for example statutory holiday timelines for time submission
- Work with the Payroll Manager to improve accuracy and efficiency in payroll processes
Qualifications:
- Experience with US payroll
- 25 years of fullcycle payroll experience
- Payroll designation or working towards
- Related postSecondary education
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Attention to details and adherence to time sensitive deadlines
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
