    Job Overview:


    We are seeking a seasoned Senior Designer to take the lead on some of our creative efforts and contribute to our diverse array of projects.

    If you're a design enthusiast with a sharp aesthetic sense, a knack for storytelling through visuals, and a passion for collaborative design processes, we want to hear from you You'll play a pivotal role in our creative ecosystem, helping shape and execute creative strategies for a diverse range of clients.

    You will be responsible for crafting visually striking designs that resonate with audiences and align with our clients' brand visions.

    This role demands a combination of strategic thinking, hands-on design expertise, deep understanding of branding, the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, as well as the ability to translate marketing platforms into effective creative executions.


    You will wear many hats:

    • Art Director
    • Designer
    • Production Manager
    • Photoshoot / video shoot art direction
    - (Sometimes IT help desk)


    Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in graphic design / marketing / branding preferred
    • Mastery of graphic design software
    • Excellent visual design skills and great attention to detail
    • Skilled in maintaining brand and design consistency across all media (print or digital), whether a billboard, a 52page booklet, motion graphics for video, or social media/digital ads.
    • You are selfdirected — you can complete daily tasks and responsibilities without supervision based on schedules and requirements
    • You have experience working across and managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Solid understanding of production, whether print or digital
    • Experience in art direction of photography and video, as well as postproduction

    Nice to have:

    • Animation software knowledge and skills
    • Experience in postsecondary, healthcare, notforprofit sectors
    • Branding experience (development of new brand through style guide and asset release)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design:

    • Create design projects aligned with objectives from concept to release/delivery
    • Conceptualize and execute visually compelling design solutions across various mediums in response to creative brief
    • Delivery of topnotch, onbrand designs.
    • Create original designs for brands, such as infographics and basic illustrations.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continue to enhance STC's creative offerings.

    Collaborative Creativity:

    • Collaborate closely with clients, creative director and team members to comprehend project objectives and deliver outstanding design outcomes.
    • Actively participate in design discussions and contribute to refining creative concepts.
    • Participate in client presentations, articulating creative concepts with confidence.

    Brand Integration:

    • Develop brand guidelines for new brands, and associated rollout of brand materials and templates
    • Implement and uphold brand guidelines across projects, ensuring consistency and coherence.
    • Develop innovative and onbrand visual concepts for diverse marketing and branding projects.
    • Play a key role in evolving and refining brand identities for our clients.

    Deadline Leadership:

    • Manage concurrent design projects, adhering to (often tight) deadlines and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
    • Work closely with project managers to prioritize your tasks and ensure seamless project delivery.
    • Work autonomously. Proof your own work (against requirements, for spelling and content consistency, is it tight?)
    • Liaise with suppliers, as needed, to ensure timely delivery.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
    • Proven track record as a Designer in a creative agency or design studio.
    • Impressive portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful design projects, demonstrating requirements above.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
