CAMH's Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) works with communities, service providers and other partners across Ontario to move evidence to action to create sustainable, equitable, system-level change.

With offices in Toronto and across the province, PSSP is on the ground collaborating with partners to build a better system through our work in implementation, knowledge mobilization, evaluation, information management, health equity and lived-experience engagement.

PSSP is currently seeking a full-time, permanent, Research Methods Specialist ( Lead, Knowledge Mobilization Research & Psychometrics).

Reporting to the Manager of Knowledge Mobilization, the Research Methods Specialist will support PSSP's Knowledge Mobilization portfolio in identifying and responding to knowledge gaps and needs in Ontario's mental health, substance use and addictions system.


The Research Methods Specialist will have expertise across broad research methodologies with particular emphasis on synthesis research methods and psychometrics.

They will use this expertise and support the execution of diverse applied research and evaluation projects. They will have the capacity to develop psychometric tools (e.g., surveys) and design analytical plans for quantitative projects.

They will be able to play key roles in conducting reviews, meta-analyses and jurisdictional scans on diverse topics across the mental health landscape.


This role will include:

  • Designing and executing quantitative approaches to applied research, evaluation, and synthesis research
  • Developing tailored KMb, resources, and engaging appropriate data visualization strategies to guide responsive and informative evidencesharing and support evidenceinformed decisionmaking needs of researchers, policy makers, and health care decisionmakers across Ontario
  • Disseminating and publishing work that advances the field of knowledge mobilization and demonstrates impact across priority areas
  • Providing guidance toward the development of work plans for priority projects
  • Consistently reviewing and sharing emerging research, evidence and technologies in the field of KMb

Qualifications:

Please Note:
This full-time, permanent position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.


Salary Range:
$ $51.54 per hour
