Job Purpose


Under the supervision of the Maintenance Stores Supervisor, this position supports the maintenance unit by performing assigned duties related to the safe shipment, timely and efficient delivery of aircraft parts to all company bases and receipt of aviation-related inventory.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of Aircraft parts with the necessary paperwork to designated company bases.
  • Complete vehicle walkaround and inspection before and after each use.
  • Daytoday maintenance of stores inventory including shelflife control and parts inventory audits.
  • Handle parts with care, loading and unloading them for delivery.
  • Liase with Maintenance engineers and other stores staff regarding requests and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate product warranty and returns.
  • Perform invoice reconciliation.
  • Issue parts and calibrated tools to maintenance personnel.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and refuse damaged goods.
  • Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate areas.
  • Maintain records of parts and supplies using computerized inventory system.
  • Ship company goods and aircraft parts by preparing the required documentation and packaging of hazardous and nonhazardous items for safe shipment.
  • Ensure all shipments meet Transportation Canada shipping regulations including the movement of dangerous goods.
  • Advise supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Record all transactions using the appropriate computer software.
  • Prepare accurate shipping and receiving documents
  • Dangerous goods declarations.
  • Maintain inventory control by filling all stock requests and performing manual, clerical, and computer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in the annual physical inventory count.
  • Ensure a clean and organized environment for the stores and quarantine areas.
General Responsibilities

  • Continuously update job knowledge by participating in training and other education opportunities.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with health, safety and environment legislation and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety programs to promote an incident and injury free culture.

Qualifications:

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position include a high school diploma. Previous warehouse and/or aviation experience is considered an asset.
A valid class 5 driver's license is required. Clean driving record. The incumbent must be able to successfully complete WHMIS and dangerous goods awareness training.
