Responsible for:
- Providing cost estimates for manufacturing, industrial and commercial products and services as offered by the Company.
- Supporting Project Management initiatives as it pertains to project budgeting, planning, coordination, and delivery.
Requirements:
- The position of Estimator is an hourly rated working position with an average workweek consisting of a minimum of 44 hours per week.
- Should possess a degree or diploma in engineering technology, construction management or related field. Minimum 3 years' experience as a cost estimator, project coordinator, or planner is required.
Must possess:
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

- Ability to analyze information, Estimate and Plan with attention to detail
- Requirement analysis experience
Job Duties:
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Studying proposals, drawings, specifications and related document to identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
- Collaborates with engineering group, sales, service and operations management team to prepare accurate estimates and bids for clients
- Travels to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
- Use computer software to calculate estimates
- Works with sales and business development to review and confirm scope of work being quoted
- Evaluates and determines costeffectiveness and profitability
- Recommends ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
- Prepares detailed estimates in a timely fashion.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
- Supports and monitors project timelines, critical deliverables and milestones.
- Develops project plans for the duration of the project
- Supports the sales team with client RFQs and the preparation of client quotations
- Communicates with purchasing and logistics department when a job or service is completed and deemed complete/final sale
- Verifies purchase order accuracy and performs required followup with sales and program management teams
- Coordinates activities with purchasing, scheduling and logistics teams.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.
- Ability to work on various projects simultaneously.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Salary:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour
