Position Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough electromechanical repairs and maintenance on food processing and support equipment.
  • Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and address equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Provide effective troubleshooting and diagnostic repair services for equipment issues.
  • Implement solutions to enhance equipment performance and prevent recurring problems.
  • Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Work towards minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment efficiency.
  • Perform regular cleaning and lubrication of equipment to maintain optimal operating conditions.
  • Adhere to recommended maintenance schedules for cleanliness and lubrication tasks.
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports, work orders, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized records of completed tasks, inspections, and any replacement parts used.
  • Prioritize and maintain safe work conditions for oneself and others.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in electromechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in a food processing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for equipment issues.
  • Ability to perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accurate documentation.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Possession of a 433a Millwright or 442A Industrial Electrical license or equivalent experience.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Etobicoke, ON M9W 4M7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Electro-Mechanical repair and Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • 433a Millwright or 442A Industrial Electrical License (preferred)
