Description

Randstad is looking for Forklift Operator - Cross Dock to operate sit down counterbalance forklift for a transportation company in SE Calgary.

This role includes properly loading and unloading palletized products into the trailers.
The roles comes with $22 an hour pay for a full time permanent opportunity.

The Cross Dock Operator will be responsible with the following duties:

Loading and unloading trailers
Safely operating forklifts and other equipment as needed
Inspecting freight damages
High level of attention to detail for all tasks assigned
Able to work overtime, weekend and evenings

Schedule as follows:

For Week 1:
Mon - Tue 7am-7pm
Fri 7am-1pm
Sat 7am-5pm
Sun 7am-5pm

For Week 2:
Wed - Thu 7am-7pm
Fri 12pm-8pm

Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other equipment
Sort and organize shipments according to destination
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times

Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse or cross docking environment preferred
Forklift certification is a plus
LTL background is an asset
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
