Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Training and Development Coordinator to join our team.
_This is an overall support and collaborative role between field staff and several departments such as Dispatching, Safety, Human Resources and Operations.
Assigning and assisting with training and orientation is a hands on approach to providing support to the field staff along with meeting the customers job requirements.
_Responsibilities:
- Assist to develop and implement training programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Assist coordinating new hire onboarding orientations and certificates.
- Maintain employees' electronic and hardcopy training files and tracking systems.
- Assist the Dispatch department with meeting customer orientations requirements.
- Track customer's site orientation requirements updates and maintain a library database for easy access.
- Schedule employees into training with external vendors as needed.
- Communicate directly with employees of upcoming training requirements and pending expiring credentials.
- Regularly report training costs and schedules to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with gathering documentations for customer pre-qualification requirements as needed.
- In consultation with Management and employees, identify, track and schedule training and development needs.
- Communicate expiring certificates and schedule as required.
- Prepare reports for Management and Supervisors as required.
- Assist with creating and distributing employee training plans, training videos, tutorials and documents.
- Track and record field staff's unit familiarization's.
- Prepare reports for Management and Dispatch on a regular basis.
- Various other tasks at the discretion of Management and any additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven administrative experience in heavy industry, trucking or construction
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels
- Attention to detail, time management and superior organizational skills
- Previous video editing skills is an asset
