About us:
The Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care is a new multi-faculty academic unit at the University of Toronto.
the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, and the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy.
The
Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable aims to catalyze research, education, and practice change in clinical care, health system management, health policy, and public health to meet the transformative challenges posed by climate change and the demands of sustainability.
The
Collaborative Centre is hosted by the Institute of Health, Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
IHPME has the largest and most productive group of scholars working in health policy, health services, health informatics, clinical epidemiology and health care research in Canada today.
IHPME is based within the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, which is now the largest public health school in Canada, with more than 850 faculty, 1,000 students, and research and training partnerships with institutions throughout Toronto and the world.
Your opportunity:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials, including newsletters, social media, websites, reports and other communications documents.
- Conducting market research and analysis.
- Determining and coordinating logístical details and activities for meetings and events, including a seminar series, halfday or fullday workshops or conferences, and other events
- Conducting postevent evaluation, analysis, and recommendations for changes
- Writing and editing various documents and correspondence, including conducting literature reviews and environmental scans
- Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
- Providing administrative support to the team, including scheduling meetings and supporting calendar management, booking travel arrangements, and filing expense reports
- Taking and distributing meeting minutes
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four (4) years of relevant administrative, communications, and research experience working within an academic, health care, or other nonprofit setting supporting academic stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience with communications, including developing newsletters, social media content, and basic graphic design.
- Experience writing professional and accurate minutes.
- Experience conducting environmental scans and literature reviews.
- Experience drafting, editing and preparing correspondence, reports, and briefs.
- Proficiency in gathering, collecting and analyzing data; experience utilizing data to compile reports and write documentation.
- Experience and proficiency in planning meetings and events, including drafting agendas and event program materials, coordinating event logistics and technology (inperson, online, and hybrid), and conducting postevent evaluation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and tact; ability and willingness to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to problem solve and deal effectively with multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.
- Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and communications software (MailChimp, Canva).
Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience updating WordPress websites
- Expertise in environmental sustainability and healthcare is strongly preferred.
